Demag DC-Pro II K chain hoist
Optimised lifting height with low headroom
Demag DC-II K chain hoist with shortened trolley frame for optimum use of space.
The Demag DC-Pro II K electric chain hoist has an extra-compact monorail hoist. The low headroom of the trolley frame enables optimum use of the hook path. This significantly reduces the C dimension and gives planners new options for using hoists or modular crane systems in spaces with low headroom. With its durable components, load cycles of up to one million are possible.
The DC-Pro II K travels at 2-stage lifting and travel speeds. The load capacity starts at 50 kg and allows lifting up to 2,000 kg. Operating limit switches are fitted as standard for the highest and lowest hook positions on the electric chain hoist, so convenient lifting and lowering with the chain hoist is guaranteed at all times. Smooth starting and braking of the trolley ensures low-sway load handling and supports the operator in material handling.
Demag DC-Pro II K chain hoist
- Load spectrum up to 2,000 kg
- Optimised design for maximum use of headroom
- Can be used in all trolley versions
- All DC-Pro II K chain hoists are equipped with operating limit switches for the highest and lowest hook positions
- Available with 2-stage lifting speeds
The number of chain falls varies depending on the size. For size DC-Pro II K 1/2, the electric chain hoist lifts the load with one chain fall in 1/1. Sizes DC-Pro II 5 and 10 are equipped with two chain falls and can lift loads of up to 2,000 kg in 2/1.
Demag low-headroom trolleys
The chain hoist with short trolley frame can be used in all travel unit combinations. The DC-Pro II K is combined with the proven Demag U trolleys and Demag electric travel drives.
Demag trolley options can be used to provide solutions for the hoist unit to travel around curves. Also in situations with reduced headroom.
Safety by Demag
Demag DC-Pro II hoists have useful safety features as standard to make daily work not only more efficient, but above all safer. Low voltage at the direct contact point on the pendant controller and the assistance and convenience functions of the smart Demag tristate control system provide support and protection. The safety-related functions exceed Performance Level c and Category 2 as per EN ISO 13849-1.
More information
Quality. Performance. DC-II chain hoist.
The Demag DC-II chain hoist meets high standards of quality and innovation. With its second generation, Demag is consistently following the DC path and once again setting the industry standard. Naturally made in Wetter.
Innovation from Wetter.
Like its predecessor, the DC-II offers the most comprehensive standard equipment and an extensive package of options, which underscores the flexible application possibilities of the hoist and its modular design.
Durable components for cost-effectiveness without compromise
The components installed in DC-II chain hoists have been selected for their durability. The generous dimensioning of the gearbox enables an FEM classification of up to 4m and thus 6300 operating hours for demanding applications. In the new A and Dh classes, the DC-II K hoist is characterised by a high rating in terms of switching cycles: up to 1,000,000 load cycles in the A8 class.
Group of mechanisms to FEM/ISO
Hoist units are classified according to FEM/ISO in accordance with DIN EN 14492-2 and calculated on the basis of the average operating time, the load on the hoist and the lifting distances travelled per day. The result is the maximum service life of the hoist unit under full load.
FEM / ISO | Operating hours |
1 AM / M4 | 800 |
2m / M5 | 1.600 |
2m+ / M5+ | 1.920 (20% longer service life) |
3m / M6 | 3.200 |
4m / M7 | 6.300 |

A5 | 125.000 |
A6 | 250.000 |
A7 | 500.000 |

Schmitz Cargobull AG
The Demag engineers developed a solution for Schmitz Cargobull based on the modular KBK light crane system. After pre-assembly, truck brake lines are suspended from a 4-metre-long end carriage.
The end carriage is lifted with a Demag KLDC double chain hoist and transported over a distance of around seven metres to the adjacent flow production facility via the KBK system. There, employees insert the line into the chassis and assemble it. The short trolley design with a small C dimension allows optimal use of the (in this case narrowly dimensioned) headroom along the production line.
Demag offers a comprehensive portfolio of tailor-made solutions, high-quality products and a wide range of consulting and other services. Our offerings range from high-performance standard components to fully customised complete systems, and our customers range from small businesses to global corporations.
This results in reliable solutions that boost our customers’ productivity, ensure their safety and demonstrate the high quality that makes us proud every day.
