The safety of the Demag DXR rope hoist will win you over. With a lifting capacity of up to 80 tonnes, the DXR is an impressive rope hoist for hazardous areas (explosion-protected areas) for gases or dusts. The lifting equipment is designed so that it is not a source of ignition (for example, from a heated surface, gases, flames, self-heating, or mechanically or electrically generated sparks).
The electric rope hoist is equipped for use in zones 1/21 and 2/22. The advantages of the optimal use of space of the rope hoist are retained thanks to its compact design.
A robust contactor control system for 2-stage travel and lifting is located in the electrical enclosure and is designed according to protection class “d” - pressure-resistant enclosure. Variable travel and lifting speeds are also available on request. The travel motor is encapsulated with the electric brake. The hoist motor offers two-stage lifting speeds of up to 16 m/min. The brake is designed for the entire service life.
The control switch is ATEX-certified and robustly designed for use in explosive atmospheres. The emergency stop button is installed as standard for quick and safe shutdown.
An optional radio control system designed in accordance with ATEX guidelines can also be planned.
Motor
Motor Zone 1-21
The completely enclosed motor compartment is cooled by fans and is equipped with thermistor temperature sensors. The pressure-resistant enclosure (d) provides the necessary protection. In insulation class H with protection class IP66, the motor is completely sealed and protected against dust and water.

Motor Zone 2-22
The motor for zone 2 has protection type “nA” while the motor for zone 22 has protection type “tc”. In insulation class H with protection class IP66, the motor is completely sealed and protected against dust and water.
