The Demag Free Standing Steel Structure (FSS) provides load-bearing capacity for light crane systems – wherever ceiling structures are absent or lack sufficient load-bearing capacity. As a self-supporting, standard-compliant support system, it combines modular construction with high stability and enables ergonomic, efficient material flows in production. The Demag FSS offers two basic designs for configuration:

1	FSS with portals	Portals consisting of support columns with base plates and crossbeams, which are secured using clamps. Direct installation of the crane runway onto the supporting structure
2	FSS with cantilever supports	Cantilever supports with base plates for beam heights of up to 6.5 m
3	FSS with longitudinal beams	In addition to the basic design, longitudinal beams can be installed beneath the portals/cantilever supports to provide greater flexibility and stability.

Demag Designer

Use the Demag Designer to configure your bespoke gantry solution. Once you have selected your crane model, you can choose from three options with different heights. This ensures you get the best possible solution for your requirements – simple, safe and practical
