| The universal Demag DRC-MP radio control |
Whereas the transmitters in conventional radio systems can only transmit, i.e. they are mono-directional, transmitters and receivers in bi-directional radio systems can both transmit and receive. This enables signals to be fed back from the receiver to the transmitter. This ensures advanced and reliable command transmission and the monitoring of the transmission quality in both directions (bi-directional). DRC-DR and DRC-MP radio systems always use bi-directional transmission.
A DRC radio system each occupies a pair of frequencies. One frequency for the transmitter -> receiver connection (uplink) and one frequency for the receiver -> transmitter connection (downlink). DRC-MP receivers feature three feedback channels as standard. They can be used to show status or warning messages on the transmitter display.
