Shaft grippers

The parallel gripper system comprises various shaft grippers. The shaft gripper can be adjusted to different shaft designs and applications by changing the gripper jaw type. Shafts with various diameters or an unknown centre of gravity can be handled by inserting support shafts.
This significantly improves the safety of handling tasks that, until now, have always involved a certain risk.
It is also possible to pick up shafts which are situated close together without difficulty by using a different combination of gripping jaws.

W1 range

Part no.: 840 850 44

Technical data:

  • SWL up to 63 kg
  • Diameter 50 - 150 mm
  • Maximum length 600 mm
  • Load support on one side
  • Narrow gripper jaw 60 mm

The sliding jaw (left) is not fitted with a load support and is only approx. 17 mm thick. This range is therefore suitable for picking-up shafts which are positioned close together.

W2 range

Part no.: 840 848 44

Technical data:

  • SWL up to 125 kg
  • Diameter 50 - 150 mm
  • Load support on both sides
  • Wide gripper jaws 120 mm

Loads weighing up to 125 kg can be handled with this gripper; due to the wide jaws the load can also be lifted safely even when it is picked up off centre.

W3 range

Part no.: 840 849 44

Technical data:

  • SWL up to 125 kg
  • Diameter 60 - 130 mm
  • Load support on both sides
  • Narrow gripper jaws 60 mm
  • With bore hole for splined shafts

Loads weighing up to 125 kg can be handled with this gripper. The load is picked-up symmetrically. Long shafts and shafts with various diameters can be handled when used together with extension set 1.

Adjusting the container support

The gripper is easily adjusted to the respective container size by raising and turning the locking pins, and by pushing the jaws together or pulling them apart until they reach the stops.
