Shipbuilding
Demag crane used in the production of hull sections for handling sections weighing up to 220 t and also for positioning individual section parts. Featuring an additional 130 t crab and an 8 t auxiliary hoist unit, the crane is a multi-function crane.
The purpose-built Demag crane used for the production of marine diesel engines provides for safe and precise positioning of the high-quality products, which weigh up to 200 t.
The double-girder crane was arranged between the crane runways in the low building. This results in favourable clearance dimensions and hook path. All travel motions are manual, the fragile boats can thus be carefully positioned.
Smooth motions and precise placement of hull sections and propulsion units are essential in the final assembly process in ship production. The crane has proven to be an all-round talent for this application.
